Ladies and Gentlemen,
Once a wise man, James John Audubon, said, "A true conservationist is a man, who knows that the world is not given by his father, but borrowed from his children." It seems like we've forgotten this responsibility on our shoulders as we continue to extend our negative impact on our environment.
To how many of us do climate change still seem as the hysteria of our concerned scientists? It's a fact that carbon dioxide concentrations haven't reached today's levels in the past thousands of years. It's a fact that in the near future, we'll be experiencing longer and more frequent droughts, floods and heavy snowfall. It's a fact that if we don't act soon, we're yet to suffer extremely from water scarcity, food security and disease outbreaks across the globe.
My friends, we are bringing our own destruction and it's in our hands to prevent it. The impact of climate change has grown beyond the choices that individuals can make to overcome it. It's time for us to unite on an international level to influence our governments to implement strict laws that limit the carbon emissions of our industries. We must put an end to the use of fossil fuels in production and transition to carbon-free alternatives. It's the time that we lend our ears to the solutions of the scientific community and support it thoroughly.
The time is running short and every minute is more precious than one can imagine. The future is engulfed under dark clouds. Our children will grow in a world without knowing the beauties of our Mother Nature. The cries of hunger will become their new lullabies as food insecurity will rise at an alarming rate. They will be the ones suffering from the consequences of our irresponsible actions. Is this the world, we are willing to leave behind for our beloved children?
It's the time to answer the alarming calls of our Mother Nature. We, hand to hand, shoulder to shoulder can create an amplifying sound to influence our governments to implement strict environmental policies. It only takes a willing heart and collaborative effort to overcome our crucial environmental challenge.
Thank you!
