During the Easter Break, we decided to travel to the north of Bosnia and Herzegovina... to a small town called, Bihac. It took us around 8 hours with bus to reach this beautiful place.
Our bus ride was quite adventurous, especially because it was a night ride. Bihac is a town, where immigrants seek refuge and there's a huge refugee issue in the town. Thus, a majority of the bus was filled immigrants, who got kicked out in the middle of the way due to lack of certain papers.
After a heart raising trip, we reached to this beautiful town. Bihac is a town that preserves its originality and hides its beauties from the Western touch. The mesmerising Una River flows between the city and takes you into a tranquil atmosphere.
Long story short... We ate amazing local food prepared by our local friend's mom. We made new connections and had a quick peak into lives of people with a culture distinct to ours. It was definitely worth it and you shouldn't miss this beautiful town if you ever end up in Bosnia and Herzegovina!
